Every piece in our collection is 100% hand-painted using traditional techniques, natural mineral pigments, and the same care that has been passed down through generations of artists. We skip the middlemen and gallery markups, working directly with artist cooperatives in Kathmandu and Qinghai to ensure fair wages for creators and fair prices for you.
Whether you’re decorating your home, setting up a meditation space, or looking for a meaningful spiritual gift, we’re here to help you find the perfect Thangka.
Our mission
- Make authentic Thangka art affordable and accessible
- Support talented artists with fair wages and sustainable work
- Help people bring beauty and spiritual energy into their homes
Our story
It began in a quiet monastery high in the Himalayas. Our founder sat cross-legged on a wooden floor, surrounded by the soft hum of monks chanting. Before him hung an ancient Thangka painting — warm golds, deep blues, every brushstroke filled with intention.
This wasn’t just art. This was peace made visible. This was centuries of wisdom, captured in pigment and silk. This was a reminder that sacredness doesn’t only exist in temples — it can exist in our homes, in our daily lives, in the quiet moments between breaths.
When he returned home to modern life, something was missing. The stores were full of mass-produced decor, but nothing carried that same sense of presence. That’s when Faye Thangka was born.
We started with a simple mission: to bring the transformative power of sacred art and ancient wisdom into modern homes. Not as religious objects. Not as exotic decorations. But as tools for peace.
Today, we work directly with master artists in Nepal and Qinghai, preserving traditional techniques that might otherwise be lost. We source singing bowls that have been hand-hammered for seven generations. We select incense blends that have been used in meditation for thousands of years.
You don’t need to be a Buddhist. You don’t need to meditate for hours every day. You just need to want a space that feels calm and intentional.
Our craftsmanship
Our Thangkas are hand-painted by master artists using mineral pigments and 24K gold leaf, following techniques preserved for over 1,000 years. Our singing bowls are hand-hammered 7,000 times by Nepali artisans who learned this craft from their fathers and grandfathers. We work directly with small workshops.
